Your blog on sincerity rings very true. I was not sincerely myself for most of my life, and it held me back in significant ways. I'm making up for the lost years of authenticity now.

Comment on "sincerity": Being honest is hard. It severs. The West is assimilating Eastern collectivism. Boundaries of individuals matter less. We are supposed to cater to the group, diminish ourselves. It might not be so much about who is right at this stage. It might be: "Will you get along?" https://yenecys.bearblog.dev/why-are-we-so-embarrassed-to-be-sincere/

hi! i adore the way you think, and it feels like, in reading each of your exhibits, a little bit of relief that someone else thinks like me! i especially enjoyed your post on having favourite things, and when the "last time" of things sneaks around. it's so important to have an appreciation of every little thing that you come across in life, all the little moments, and you speak to that belief so very well! thanks so much for sharing your thoughts on here, great reads!

Hi! I just read your post about being perceived, and how everything we do these days seems performative. I couldn't agree more, and also just wanted to say, as someone who has been off all main social media accounts for almost a year now, I've been slowly able to enjoy things just for me again! It feels good to do things for me. Thank you for your post! I'll check out your others!

Just dropping by to say that I love your personal internet article. There's no denying that we are living in a different era, and all we can do is reminisce how simple things were before. Thanks for the nostalgia, ram

Oh man, I remember when I used to change the cursor image on my little blog! Those were the days! Thanks for the trip down memory lane

I love everything about your blog. The style, the writing and the intention. Came from the `personal internet` post as well. Those were simpler times, and your page reminds me of that. Thanks. If only there's a way to subscribe to your posts?

thank you! i’m actually looking into adding a way to subscribe now. i didn’t expect anyone to ask for one, which is a very nice problem to have.

I feel your yearn for the simpler internet and our own corner. Just wanted to say if you haven't explored it yet, Neocities may be something you want to explore. If you remember Geocities you will love Neocities. Cheers, Rob

Love what you’ve written about the personal internet. I feel the same way. You could check about digital gardens and the IndieWeb. I’m loving discovering blogs like yours and curating personal journals again. The Bear Blog discovery feed (where I found your post) is a great place too. Cheers, Matt

i’ve been reading about digital gardens since you mentioned them! i love that there’s apparently an entire vocabulary for the kind of internet i’ve been missing. thank you for sending me down another rabbit hole.

Just read "the personal internet" and cannot express how much it resonated with me. I was never present in the MySpace era of early internet but have a deep nostalgia for finding people's "rooms" or corners of the internet. I'm so tired of browsing curated feeds from these various accounts, I want the sense of adventure again as I find random blog sites and interactive experiences.

“finding people’s rooms” is such a lovely way of putting it. that’s exactly what i miss too. thank you for reading and for leaving a little piece of yourself here.
